Can't wait to see what gets submitted. I'll have to think of something good to send in myself. Great idea CCP. ~Gnosis~ |

Originally by: Kris Kochanski I have never seen so much unwarranted whining. Almost makes me embarrassed to be part of the Eve community when I read how ranting and childish some of these hydrocephalic, mouth-breathing, *******s are.
If you ask people for entertaining stories from their time playing Eve, they ***** you're leaning on them for advertising. If you give them the privilege to help the War on Lag via mass-testing on Singularity, they ***** they're unpaid beta-testers. Pathetic.
Is it really that hard to understand what CCP is doing? You all do realize they are FAR more transparent than most other developers out there, right? I'd like to continue to believe that Eve is a thinking man's (and woman's) game, but sometimes the forums don't bear that out. It's extremely surprising coming from a game with such a steep learning curve where you stand or fall on your own merit.
This....a milllllion times, this... The whine factor had gone nuclear and it's a sad state of affairs. Hopefully the whiners will just go away soon. ~Gnosis~ |

Frankly noone wants AUR. Nobody cares about your commando boots or your dress uniform top. You know why? The same reason Incarna has been such a @#*%-storm. It doesn't do anything.
Yeah! I'm kinda miffed myself that these gorram sun-goggles don't edit out tripe such as the above. Oh yeah...and if I had an iskie for every time a poster tried to speak for everyone... ~Gnosis~ |

It's not that having a valid point and expressing it here is unwanted, it's the whining and kvetching and outright nastiness that needs to go. ~Gnosis~ |

The site is live and I'm really digging. What a great way to spread the stories of New Eden. Looking forward to more being posted over the next few months.
One technical note: the player box that pops up on the video's with the text description doesn't always minimize when you move your mouse off the box. I would say about half the time it sticks the entire time making it difficult to view the video. Using Chrome. ~Gnosis~ |

Originally by: Relaxedtrader So I went to the eveisreal website today.
Thoughts: The website is totally unusable. Don't know why the hell anyone ever thought that that website would be accessible, it takes so long to load a page you need to be doing something else as well. The point I am trying to make is when I think of the websites I visit looking for information and amusement, I like clean, precise and amusing.
The flash interface takes so long between loads that I get bored before I've looked at 2 or 3. There's no excuse for such a pathetic user experience in this age of instants. Think more like failblog.org, the ability to dwell on a piece of content for as long or as short as you like and not a 15 second wait between each piece of material.
You might want to check that you're using a modern browser like Chrome and that it's up to date? Or maybe get better internet service? It loads almost instantly for me and is no problem at all to navigate (though it's not perfect, it could use some tweaks). ~Gnosis~ |
